Ai Brains Across World Ranking
The “AI Brains Across World” dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of global artificial intelligence capabilities by comparing countries across three key dimensions: R&D Index, Talent Index, and Infrastructure Index. These indicators collectively represent a nation’s strength in AI research, availability of skilled professionals, and technological readiness.
At the top level, the Talent Index (70.01) stands out as the strongest component globally, indicating that human capital and expertise in AI are more developed compared to R&D (67.82) and especially Infrastructure (48.54), which appears to lag behind. This suggests that while many countries have strong talent pools, there is still a gap in supporting infrastructure necessary to fully leverage AI advancements.
Geographically, the map highlights a clear concentration of AI strength in North America, Europe, and East Asia. Countries like the United States and China dominate the global AI landscape, supported by strong research ecosystems, large talent pools, and significant investments. Other leading contributors include Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and India, each demonstrating competitive advantages in specific areas such as innovation, education, or digital infrastructure.
The ranking charts further reinforce this dominance. The United States ranks first in overall AI score, followed by China, with a noticeable gap between them and other countries. Meanwhile, China leads in the number of top universities for AI, highlighting its academic strength and long-term investment in education. Countries like the UK, Australia, and Canada also perform well in academic contributions.
Overall, the dashboard reveals a global imbalance in AI development, where a few leading nations drive progress while others lag behind. The data emphasizes the importance of balancing talent, research, and infrastructure to achieve sustainable AI growth.
