Provide advance notifications for platform upgrades and clearly communicate the maintenance window

Concern / Current Challenge:
With recent platform upgrades occurring without prior notification, activities such as RPD merge and Apply Sandbox are frequently going into a “Queued” state and remain stuck for 6–8 hours. This significantly impacts planned development cycles and project timelines. Additionally, there is no ETA provided for completion, making it difficult to manage ongoing work.
In some cases, in-progress activities are also moved to a queued state during platform updates and may fail due to timeout issues, requiring re-execution and additional effort.

Business Impact:

• Delays in development and deployment timelines
• Impact on planned production cutover activities
• Increased manual effort due to rework
• Lack of visibility and planning due to missing ETA

Providing advance notifications along with defined maintenance windows will help teams plan critical activities accordingly, avoid disruptions, and ensure smooth project execution.
