Oracle Fusion Analytics (Fusion Analytics), a part of the Oracle Fusion AI Data Platform, is a family of prebuilt, cloud-native analytics applications for Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications that provide ready-to-use insights to help improve decision-making. It’s extensible and customizable, allowing customers to ingest data and expand the base semantic model with additional content.
AI Assistant is the Generative AI feature with OAC to enable business users to get into conversational analytics using the AI capabilities. With this feature available on your Fusion Analytics instance too – we will be sharing more reusable artifacts that will be assistant enabled. Pre-Requisites:
Guideline to setup AI Assistant
- Recommended to use Local Subject Area as against Subject Area for AI Asst purpose
- Indexing and providing alias and synonyms to columns helps get better user experience
- Key points to remember while indexing
- attributes - both name and value
- metrics – only name
- date – only name
- To match with data refresh , need to schedule indexing for these LSA(appropriately timing it after daily data refresh)
- Guideline to provide synonyms
- Up to 20 per column
- No ambiguity
- Keep Org practice / industry terms
- Ensure workbook content is created using the Subject Areas and not LSA
- There is no join between the SA and LSA in the data panel of workbooks

Recommended and Good Practice for end users
- For each utterance within ERP / SCM subject areas ensure to include the Fiscal Calendar Name explicitly, especially if you are having more than one Fiscal Calendar Name
Eg: Show Payment Amount by FY for Gov Calendar - Encourage to delete the context as often when you ask a new utterance to remove the previous context
- While you type pick the column from the prompt list to reduce ambiguity
- Always validate the output for relevance, before sharing with business users or taking business decisions
- Alias and index the LSA appropriately to suit your need
- Use the Columns Name Listing on left side and the Sample Questions to get into Conversational Analytics with AI Workbook Assistant.
- Make sure to periodically delete the context within Asst to start fresh as context and filters persists across utterances unless cleared
