Oracle BI Publisher Excel Output Headers Misaligned

Question

I’m using the Word Oracle BI Publisher plugin to generate Excel output with a table.

I have:

* a header row
* detail rows grouped by device
* an empty row inserted whenever the device changes

The problem I am facing is that the excel file it generated, the header is not showing correctly

For example, the layer should be in E but in it showing in both E and Fr

How can I fix this?

I fixed the issue by first putting the header into the table and setting the width to fixed. Then I cut the header row out.
