Microsoft has announced that Publisher will be retired in the coming months.

In July 2026 the Microsoft Publisher application will be removed from all Windows computers and you will not be able to open or edit Publisher (.pub) files.

There is no impact at all on Oracle BI Publisher (now known as Oracle Analytics Publisher). Microsoft Publisher and Oracle BI Publisher are two completely different applications serving different purposes, and they do not share underlying file formats or dependencies.

So there will be no issues to edit and design RTF files for Oracle BI Publisher report within Microsoft Word, with Oracle BI Publisher Template Builder plugin?
