Currently, when custom dashboards are created, they need to be placed in Shared Folders/Custom/Dashboards to show in the dashboards listing. This can then only group the dashboards in the dropdown in a single collapsible heading.
Where there are a limited number of custom dashboards that is fine but many organisations have a large number of custom dashboards that can be difficult to locate in the Dashboards/Custom dropdown so need to break them down further into persona or functional group.
For this to be achieved, either additional subfolders need to be added to the dropdown menu that allows additional folders in the custom/dashboards folder to be shown or the dashboards menu needs to be driven from a higher level of the catalog.
This will provide significant benefit and usability gains for end users.
