When we import a Workbook using the Export/Import method, the dependent objects like Datasets and Connections appear in the Catalog folder path - alongside the Workbook. This feature appears to help with traceability
We also then see the Connections and Datasets linked to the catalog paths listed in the Connection and Dataset tabs in the console and the connection is name is duplicated for each import/workbook object in the target environment. The list has the potential to grow and each dataset and connection will be listed for each catalog path making more difficult to manage. Is the any maintenance advice from Oracle? Do we have a Oracle link where this is announced by Oracle to understand the specific purpose of this functionality and how it should be managed?
