We have a newly provisioned FDI instance. Users with the FAW HCM Licensed Consumer role can access DV content and export data as required, but they also see the Open Classic menu option in the DV three-dot menu. Clicking it opens Classic Home.
Our business requirement is that Consumer users should not have access to Classic at all, because Classic allows copy/paste of catalog objects. However, if we assign the Viewer application role, Classic access is restricted, but export functionality is also removed.
Required behavior:
- Consumer users should access only DV subject areas and DV workbooks based on content duty and data role.
- Consumer users should be able to export data in available formats.
- Consumer users should not see or access Open Classic / Classic Home.
Please confirm whether Oracle FDI/OAC supports this security configuration and what role/privilege changes are required to allow DV export while disabling Classic access.
