FDI: How to Report Vacant Positions with Direct/Indirect Leader Security?
We're looking for guidance on the best approach to report on Position Management data in Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI).
Our primary requirement is to identify and report on vacant positions (positions with no incumbent assigned) and surface this information in a People Leader Dashboard. The dashboard needs to support direct and indirect manager security, ensuring leaders can only view positions within their reporting hierarchy. We would also like to include a flag or attribute to easily identify vacant positions and display the associated position details.
We're unsure whether these requirements can be met using the standard FDI subject areas or whether this would require an extension or another approach. As a fallback, our implementation partner is currently developing an OTBI report that contains this data.
Has anyone implemented a similar solution in FDI, or can you recommend the best approach?
Any guidance on the available subject areas, security model, or design patterns would be greatly appreciated.
