Problem:
The current filter bar within a workspace only searches folders and files within the active working directory, making it difficult to quickly locate content stored elsewhere in the workspace hierarchy.
E.g., Your workspace contains 3 folders:
Each folder will have documents within e.g., "Customer Churn" notebook within "Notebooks" folder
If you search from the workspace root for Customer Churn (which resides in the Notebooks folder) this will return no results.
The user must first navigate to the "Notebooks" folder, before the filter can find it.
Proposed Solution:
Introduce a workspace-wide, permission-aware search experience that enables users to quickly locate folders and files regardless of their current location.
Benefits:
A global search would reduce time spent navigating between folders, improve discoverability of content, and provide a faster, more intuitive user experience, especially in large or complex workspaces.
