AR Aging Dashboard Customization – Multi-Segment Grouping

Hello Team,

Our client has requested an AR Aging dashboard. However, the required criteria combine multiple Chart of Accounts segments, including Cost Center, Business Line, Division, LOB, Product, and Receivables Account. Standard FDI Account Groups cannot support this requirement directly, as each account group is based on a single segment.

To meet the client's requirement, we will need to customize the solution to enable grouping across multiple segments.

Hello R. Vohra,

Is it possible to group the values in the columns and assign labels to them? Also, how would this work if there are multiple codes within the same segment?

Knowing that I have already opened an SR, but the response I received was that this cannot be achieved using the standard FDI functionality.

As you have already identified, it is not supported and it should be a viable approach to create a custom derived dimension (or custom grouping attribute) in FDI that concatenates the required COA segments into a single business key. For example:

Cost Center || '-' ||Business Line || '-' ||Division || '-' ||LOB || '-' ||Product || '-' ||Receivables Account

This derived key can then be mapped to a business-friendly grouping table, such as:

Cost Center

Business Line

Division

LOB

Product

Receivables Account

AR Aging Group

100

FIN

NA

Retail

Loan

121000

Retail Finance

200

OPS

EU

Commercial

Lease

122000

Commercial Leasing

The resulting AR Aging Group can then be exposed as a reporting dimension and used consistently across dashboards and analyses.

I would also log a Service Request asking recommendation from Oracle Support. I am sure there are other Oracle clients who should have the same requirement and there might be a recommended solution from Oracle.
