As part of our platform modernization efforts, the Branch framework will be retired on September 1, 2026, and will no longer be available beginning with release 26.R3. After this date, Sandbox will be the only supported framework for semantic model extensions.
What do I need to do?
Before September 1, 2026, you should:
- Review the Migrate to the Sandbox Framework for Semantic Model Extensions documentation, paying close attention to the Pre-Migration Tasks.
- Important: Delete or merge all unpublished branches into the Main branch before migration, as only the published Main branch will be migrated.
- Migrate your published Main branch to the Sandbox.
- Validate your migrated customizations to ensure all functionality works as expected.
- Contact Oracle Support if you need assistance during the migration process.
What happens if I take no action?
Starting September 1, 2026:
- Oracle will migrate your published Main branch to the Sandbox framework.
- All additional branches will no longer be available after the migration.
- The Branch framework will no longer be accessible.
