FDI Payroll Costing Transfer to GL Date

Question

In FDI Payroll Costing subject area there is out of the box column for Transfer to GL Flag / Indicator, I've tried searching through tables in subject area to add physical column for transfer to GL Date but no luck. Does anyone know how I can populate a transfer to GL date in payroll costing? We are attempting to build a view that displays hours in a pivot table with each of the 12 months being a column but I need it to reflect when payroll goes to GL.

I think that date isn't missing from your search as it doesn't exist as a physical column in the Payroll Costing subject area's underlying data. The actual "when" lives downstream, in a completely different part of the data model: once the Transfer to General Ledger process runs, it hands off to Subledger Accounting, which creates journal entries with their own accounting date and creation date. Those dates live in SLA/GL objects, not in the payroll costing fact table. After the GL transfer process runs and changes the flag to Y, have a look at using the LAST_UPDATE_DATE
