Fusion Data Intelligence: Asset Master Data in SCM- Maintenance Subject areas

Hi Team

We are developing SCM reports using SCM-Maintenance Module (incl WO Header, Operation, Resource, Assets, Asset Route areas etc) in Oracle FDI.

In FDI , OOTB SCM-Maintenance doesn't have any Asset related information and as per below documentation , I believe its deprecated .

We are looking for suggestions on workaround to fetch Asset data into Oracle FDI and the best recommended approach.

We need to pull Data from :

Asset Master Data (Asset details + Meter Data + Asset Location + Asset Item), Asset History Data , Asset standard DFFs , App Composer custom Asset attributes, Project specific Lookups

We are trying below approach:

- BIP Connector to pull Asset Data and Customize OOTB SCM-Maintenance Work Order subject area in SME (But facing some data mismatch and Asset_ID deprecated from Maintenance Work Order Facts)

- OTBI Connector to pull Asset Real Time subject area and Blend with OOTB SCM-Maintenance Work Order subject area in OAC Dataset (Appcomposer attributes and new lookups not available in OTBI SA)

Please advise on what would be best approach for customizations in this case .

Some of the Manufacturing Work Order Asset functionality has been deprecated, specifically from: DW_MFG_WORK_ORDERS_CF.WORK_ORDER_ASSET_ID and DW_MFG_WORK_ORDERS_CF.ASSET_ID.

You could augment your data

followed by a semantic model extension. The tricky part seems to be the grain of asset entities. You should build separate datasets for Asset master and attributes, meter definitions/readings, location and item relationships, Asset history, and project lookups.
