FDI wrong data

Question

I’m currently facing an issue with the Absence data in FDI.

For example, in the screenshot, the Approved Absence measure is showing 1, while the correct value in Fusion 1,560.

A few points:

* This is the standard/prebuilt dashboard; no customizations were made.
* There is no date filter applied.
* The FDI refresh runs daily, so the data should be refreshed regularly.
* Fusion shows the correct number (1,560), but FDI is showing only 1.

Has anyone faced a similar issue or have an idea what could be causing this discrepancy?

Hi @User_VIM5S

It might be worth looking at the SQL that is being generated to see what filters are being applied to the data. It could be that it is restricting based on org/line manager security and applying the most restrictive privilege. You can do this by activating the Developer Tools in your profile then using the page menu at the top right of the workbook to view the code.

"Use the Fact- Absence Calendar for calculating the daily breakdown of absences. To use these measures, populate data in Oracle Cloud HCM by running the process Generate Daily Breakdown of Absence Details Process , refer –Steps to Run Generate Daily Breakdown of Absence Details Process. This process requires that the “Include in daily report breakdown” flag is checked at the absence type configuration/setup level.View the results of this process in the Absence Calendar Real-Time Entry subject area in OTBI. Fact- Absence Entries is meant for a more aggregate view only. This supports only base measures such as rejected, withdrawn, or draft absences and related derived measures."

Hi @User_VIM5S,

Thank you for the question. You mentioned you are running daily pipelines, so unless you had some backdated, manual updates in the source that would not be the issue. If it is, the solution would be to reload the HCM functional area.

Data validations can be run for HCM via the FDI Console.

Lastly, when testing the data in Workbooks via the Subject Areas, select as few columns as possible when running your tests.
