This post shares sample content for Fusion SCM Analytics of Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) using Oracle AI Data Platform.
Content Description: The Supplier PO Delay Risk Prediction Data Science Pack enables buyers, supplier managers, and procurement leaders to identify open purchase orders that are likely to be received late and understand the factors driving that risk. It combines Fusion SCM Analytics procurement data, an Oracle AI Data Platform (AIDP) machine-learning notebook, and an Oracle Analytics workbook.
The pack supports users in:
- Identifying open purchase order schedules with an elevated predicted probability of late receipt.
- Understanding the factors contributing to each order's predicted risk, such as the supplier's delivery history and category, buyer, and ship-to patterns.
- Comparing predicted delay risk across suppliers, purchasing categories, buyers, and ship-to organizations.
- Prioritizing supplier follow-up, expediting, and sourcing decisions before the promised date passes.
The solution uses FDI procurement data from the purchase order and receipt facts. The notebook prepares the data, engineers supplier, category, buyer, and ship-to delivery history features, trains and evaluates three classification models, selects the production model based on test-set ROC-AUC, and scores all open purchase order schedules.
The outputs include schedule-level delay probabilities and risk tiers (HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW), row-level explanations of the top contributing factors, model-performance metrics, and a registered model. These outputs are made available in the Oracle Analytics workbook for interactive analysis and reporting.
Intended Audience: Data scientists and ML practitioners, procurement analysts
