BI APPS 11.1.1.10.1 patches

Question

Hi all,

I installed and configured BIAPPS 11.1.1.10.1 in linux environment. However, I could see the OBIEE version is 11.1.1.9.0. I am not sure on the patches that are necessary to be applied.

I went through Oracle docs, but still I have doubt on this. One instance for a client shows the OBIEE version as 11.1.1.9.3.

Can you please let me know what are the patches applicable for BIAPPS, OBIEE, ODI and weblogic if we want to install and configure 11.1.1.10.1 version.

Hi Venkata. I'll give this a try ... perhaps by doing so, I too will also learn something

Conceptually, OBIA & OBIEE are two different things. OBIEE is the "platform", or architecture. OBIA is a "packaged" application/suite. So, OBIEE is a component within OBIA (along with a few others, like ODI - Oracle Data Integrator). My understanding is that not all of the components, within the OBIA suite, are of the same version.

Here is an explanation, taken from a MOS note (1065155.1):

I also administer an 11.1.1.10.1 OBIA installation. I found the following vesrion(s) of my own installation by using (Doc ID 1519745.1):
