Description
Being able to select which of the visuals in a report should be synchronized/filtered when using the functionality "Use as Filter" in the report.
Use Case and Business Need
A report displaying information about a global company, you want to use a map visual to filter some KPI in another visual but you would also want to keep the full overview for comparison purposes. Now, this is not possible and when a visual is used as filter all other visuals will be filtered using your selection.

This is very disarable feature - users odnt want to filter all visuals , but just the selected one.

We are working in this direction. No ETA that we can communicate, but in a few months we will release our on-canvas filters which will already include an ability to determine who is impacted by the fillter.

Will be helpful.

Nice feature to have. Right now, I create another canvas to show the map without filtering and then go to the next canvas to filter using Data brushing. It would be nice to have a visual without filtering and others filter in the same canvas.

It will save confusion. Let the user select.

Recently we introduce two features in this direction.
- On canvas filters that allow control as to which visualization they are impacting
- Visualization properties to decide which filter (project/canvas/on-canvas) is impacting them
Currently, it does not apply to 'use as filter' but this is the next stage in this area.

Have you tried the new filter capabilities (5.7 and up) that provide control as to which viz is impacted but which filter?

Hi Gabby,
Not yet, our company is struggling to update our patches after 5.6. Both 5.7 and 5.8 failed to update in the lower environments and I could not test it yet. Looking forward to doing so.
