Merge OBIA repositories

Question

Hi All,

Our customer wants to implement OBIA 11g, but they want to keep the old repository of OBIA 7.9.6.4 because contains customs and another models.

The requeriment is to merge two versions of OBIA repositories (7.9.6.4, 11.1.1.10.2).

is there any path to perform this merge?

Hi,

All you have is 2 RPD, the merge must be done by the Admin tool.

No idea how the 2 RPD looks like but you have a big risk that they share common names as it's the same product (even if 2 different version).

Names conflicts means lot of work by hand to resolve the conflicts or rename one of the 2 to avoid the conflicts.

OBIA has a big rpd, so ... can be fun !

Start looking at namings used in both RPD and it will allow you to have a first idea of the complexity of the merge.
