Financial Report showing different data than what actually have

Hello experts,

When I am looking the report it's showing following data 1565 for warehouse expenses but when I retrieve the same intersection in Smartview it has nothing please find the screenshots below

Can you guys help me what might be the problem ?

I installed Financial reporting studio as well in my system to edit and check what intersections it had(It has same intersection) but just want to make sure but when I tried to launch I am getting the following error Unable to locate tools.jar. Expected to find it in …\common\JRE\Sun\1.6.0\lib\tools.jar

Can anyone please help me on this ?

Are you 1000% sure you are looking at the same environment for both reports?(i.e one could be pointing to TEST and the other PROD)

Also what version of Hyperion are you(including patch level)?(e.g Essbase 11.1.2.4.019)

If you on the latest version you can seek to use the FR web studio to open the report and check the intersection.

Yes I am 1000% sure I am looking at the same environment. I have this problem in Prod. Dev and Test environments are good. I am using 11.1.2.4.0.79 and its a same version in all environments. I tried launching the Reporting web studio with no luck I am getting the following web page error.

Your environment is not patched up to 11.1.2.4.7XX so you cannot use the FR web studio.

Make sure the report's FR DB connection is actually pointing to the PROD application you are looking at.

Check the report contents(via your FR Desktop client) to make sure you are looking at the exact intersection. Once you get the intersection then check your Smart View report.

I am able to login into Reporting Studio. I am able to see only the folders

I am supposed to see these books in the FR studio in that Director - Operations folder any idea why its not displaying ?

If you logged into the correct environment you should see the individual FR reports ..

Do you see any report(not books) at all in any of the folders?.

Do you have full global administrator rights to Hyperion?

If you are not the admin you should contact your Hyperion administrator and have that person work with you.

Yes I can see the individual reports in other folders. But most of my reports is inside the book and I can't see any books in FR. And I am logging in as admin. so there is no access related issues

Books are created in the Workspace not FR studio.

Notably you want to focus on the single FR report you stated is not showing the correct number. Open that specific report in the FR Studio and find the intersection that is in it and then create a Smart View report with that exact intersection.

As stated you need to ensure the FR report is pointing to your PROD environment and the specific application/database.

At some point you may also want to work with your IT team in getting your environment patched up.

Many times folks have posted on the forum of data not being the same and it often time ends up being a user error of looking at the wrong intersection or the report pointing to another environment...

Thanks for you help. But the report that I am having that data problem is inside the book. So I can't edit that report with out open the book.

The report has to exist in a folder that is in the reporting studio. You need to find that folder and open the FR report in question. The book is just amanner of collecting reports it has nothing to do with the data
