Upgrade to Informatica with DAC 11g

Hello,

Is Informatica 10 compatible with Oracle 12c and DAC 11g ..if not which is the highest available informatica version which is compatible with both Oracle 12 C and DAC 11g?

Thanks!

  • Hi,

Have a look at the certification matrix corresponding your exact version of OBIA: Oracle Fusion Middleware Supported System Configurations

For the "compatibility with Oracle 12c" it doesn't really mean a lot: Oracle <something> 12c, what is the <something> ? If it's database then you have to ask that to Informatica in the end (but the certification matrix again will probably answer you depending the exact version of 12c DB you are talking about).

Just keep in mind everything can be in details: 11g and 12c aren't versions directly, just major version family in a way ....

Thank you very much for the link. Based on that matrix, we have OBIA 7.9.6.4 and looks like Powercenter 9.6.1 is the certified version.

We are in the process of upgrading our informatica footprint. I would like to know if the latest powercenter verions 10.1 work with our current stack of OBIA 7.9.6.4, DAC 11g and Oracle 12C database. I understand it will not be certified and supported by Oracle, but are there any known issues that other's have experienced that will stop us from upgrading to Informtica 10.1

    Thanks in advance!

  • For that I can't help you ...

Because of no support from Oracle when running a not certified config I just avoid it.

Wait and see, maybe other OBIA users here had experiences with your target versions...

We decided to go with the supported verison of 9.6.0. But if someone has been using DAC 11G with informatica 10, I would like to know how it is working.

    Thanks!
