Conditional formatting not working in case of Direct Database request
Hello Experts,
I am not able to use Conditional Formatting functionality in OBIEE report developed using Direct Database Request.
Error code - ACIOA5LN
However conditional formatting works fine when i create normal Analysis using Subject Area. Only when i try to create report using Direct database, it gives an error. I am trying to create simple tabular report.
The Current version of OBIEE which i am using : Oracle Business Intelligence 12.2.1.2.0
Appreciate you help here.
Thanks in Advance !
Regards,
Akanksha Sahu

Direct Database Requests (DDR) disable many of the functionality of OBIEE. Because they bypass the model there are a lot of things which can't work.
Is that something you manage to get in 11g or another analysis? Or you just got that the first time you tried and so it's maybe one of the many things which doesn't work with DDR?
PS: don't have an OBIEE environment available to give it a try myself now

Hi Akanksha,
Suppose you want to display a column based on some condition then you can write the condition/case statement in that column level and try once. But we can't get all functionalities as normal reports conditional formatting as Gainni is explaining.
Thanks

You can do SQL - HTML conditional formatting ... As you are bypassing the RPD you can push it a bit further and do HTML by SQL ...
