I run a report in OBIEE (12.2.1.3) and when I export the file as CSV, I get the message that the file has been exported but neither I get the message on the bottom of the browser (Chrome) nor do I see it in my "Downloads" folder... Anybody has any ideas?

    Hi Kash,

Could you provide some more details about this? Also, was this working before at any point? All dashboards/analyses affected the same way?

Do you have another browser you could try from?

    Regards,

    Charles

    Hi,

Also, was this working before at any point?

Yes, it was working before about couple of months ago and just added two new columns to the report but even if we run the old report, its the same issue. Basically, the moment you click on Export to CSV, we wont even get a bottom bar stating that its downloading which is really weird. We have tried at different computers to make sure its not just one computer and same tests were performed with different User logins. Now we are about to re-start the BI services to see if that makes any difference

All dashboards/analyses affected the same way?

    Yes

Do you have another browser you could try from?

Tried with Chrome and IE but the same issue

    No only that one report

Ok, noted. So, basically, you've made some changes to a "report" (as @Christian Berg says ... reports are BI Publisher objects; is this a bi publisher report, or dashboard/analysis?).

If you have access, can you check the sawlog? /{Path_to_Middleware_Home}/instances/{Instance_name}/diagnostics/logs/OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent/coreapplication_obips1

Just to further clarify its a BI Analysis on its own and not part of any dashboard... And its not a publisher report

Thanks Kash. Are you able to see that log?

Sorry ... I gave you the path for 11g. Try this for 12c: /{DOMAIN_HOME}/servers/obips1/logs/sawlog[n].log

Sorry I dont have access to it but we will further proceed with the hardware team on this issue... The weird thing is that it works fine if you re-create the report but the next day the same report would not export the CSV file and its basically a ghost file
