Defining security in OBIEE 11g

HI
In OBIEE 11g, I am trying to setup security for few of people where they should able to see only one particular subject area and catalog related to that.
For This, i have create group and added users to that group using OBIEE console.and create as application role and added group to that role in EM.
Can anyone please suggest as how i can move forward from here in setting security. In RPD, i am not seeing the application role which i created in console.

Hi Manu -
Try reviewing this: https://www.rittmanmead.com/blog/2012/03/obiee-11g-security-week-subject-area-catalog-and-functional-area-security-2/ .
Also, I recall there being a bug/patch "related" this this kind of thing. Not sure if it will apply to you here, but check it out: Patch 22221772: NEW APPLICATION ROLE CREATED IN EM DOES NOT
APPEAR IN THE RPDWhat is your exact version of Bi Apps (OBIA) and OBIEE, itself?
Regards,
Charles

HI CHarles,
Can you help me in setting up data level security.
The user who logged in , they should be able to view only data related to them.I have settup this added user in console and assigned role in em.
Created initialization block when i test it with userinput i am getting only user related data.
Then again i have added data fiter at application roles. But when i logged in i am able to see all the data but i should see ID only of mine but i am able to see all users under iD column.
