There was a session variable that could be populated by a query or a fixed value that did exactly that. I just have a doubt if it still exists in OAS or not.
As a quick-win, users can set that in their own profile inside OAS:

Thank you for your quick and descriptive response , that was helpful, can it be more generic! meaning can developer set something so end user dont have to set starting page?
For example i have 100 users and i want to make dashboard default to all of them in one go.

Ok, found the name...
It's a deprecated feature in OAS and therefore you first need to enable it: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocContentDisplay?id=2622528.1

The documentation could maybe have more details (can't remember)

Also worth checking, if you want to set the same for everybody, it can be done quite easily in OAS: https://vizunderground.com/2020/02/28/setting-the-portalpath-for-oac-55-and-above/
(it's about OAC, but OAS is derived from OAC, so the settings is there as well in OAS)

Not really, that would be "illegal" (and one of the things to not do in this forum).
The variable is called PORTALPATH, try to search online and you should find old documentation mentioning it or somebody's blogpost talking about it.
About how to enable the deprecated features in OAS, try to google that one too, somebody probably did blogposts about it (copying the content of above MOS document).
And on the side, you should ask your company to add you to their support identifier, so you can have access to MOS documents with your own account (assuming your company has a support contract for OAS).

1) Firstly i explored my account -> change starting page works like a charm
2) Secondly, I have set path of dashboard, (from properties i got the path ) i have restarted the BI instance, but it still takes the starting page as a display after login, do i need to set DEFAULT as starting page ?
