Hi,
Would someone guide how i can set ideal time after which session should automatically get expires and redirect to the login page.
Oracle Analytics 5.9
...config/fmwconfig/biconfig/bi-security
-> config.properties
-> internalSessionTokenExpiryTime=DESIREDTIMEINMILISECONDSGOESHERE
What is the maximum time which we can put in seconds ? or there is no uperlimit
Also will it automatically redirect to login page ?
there is something in here but as i do not have access can you see what's been discussed here ?

@Christian Berg-0racle
I have tried your way and restarted the server but it stay on the same page i tried for 10 seconds only so i know how it works.
it is not logging me out nothing am i missing something
Do you expect the page to change and tell you that your session expired?
There are various kind of session timeout or expiration, and because it's just a webpage, it will maybe not tell you the session is gone if you don't move, but as soon as you try to do something you get a popup telling you the session is gone and you need to login again first.
+1 to Gianni. It will force you to re-authenticate as soon as you click something or want to do something.
@Gianni Ceresa @Christian Berg-0racle I tired using internalSessionTokenExpiryTime=DESIREDTIMEINMILISECONDSGOESHERE
but it stays on same page even if i click somewhere or refresh page after 10seconds
Hey Marco.
I never tried to find out the lowest limit permissible for that setting but somehow I doubt that 10 seconds is a valid input as 10sec and then you get logged out is pretty much useless for an analytics system
for a particular report, when some users click on the link, the new tab opens but after about 10 minutes of loading the system returns

https://blogs.oracle.com/analytics/announcing-the-general-availability-of-oracle-analytics-server-2026 As announced, OAS 2026 has moved to FMW 14. What does this mean for the future of OBIA? Given that 103PS4 is for 12.2.1.4 , it would seem another required upgrade beyond 103ps4 will have to happen. What should customers…
