Ability to connect Data Visualization Desktop (DVD) with FAW Subject Areas
Description
We are looking for the ability to connect FAW subject areas using Data Visualization Desktop. This will help us to Join/Blend Data from other sources with Fusion.
Currently, the process to extend FAW subject areas is very lengthy hence time-consuming.
Use Case and Business Need
It will help cross-functional analysis done easily. Every customer has a lot of 3rd party/Other Oracle application and it is essential to have a holistic view of the information available centrally (Single Point of Truth)
This feature is available with some other BI vendors to mash semantic layer with customer data e.g. Files, Other Databases.

The only way to extend the FAW semantic model is through Semantic Model Extensions. Could you please provide more details on your specific use case that can highlight the limitations you are encountering? OAC allows you to create datasets in your FAW environment.

You can use the OAC Platform capability to blend data sets which based on FAW SA and Custom data.
