This enhancement would do the following:

When you open a report or a dashboard in analytics that has the Department Hierarchy parameter in the prompt you should be able to remove the Department Tree name from the list of values that are given when you go to select the department levels.

Use Case and Business Need

The client would like to hide the tree name from the list of values so that the end users are not confused when they try to pull over all department levels at once it does not error out. Right now when they pull over all values it includes the tree name and the report errors. Being able to hide the tree name will enable more users to interact with the reports in a less confusing way. This will lead to more customer adoption of the tool and less training on how to run a report and interact with prompts.

The client wants to be able to hide the department tree name from the list of values in the parameter. Per the SR listed above Oracle has stated that this is not possible current state and to log an enhancement request,
