Using Parent-Child Hierarchy values defined for COA segments in OTBI

We have Parent- child hiearchies for the COA segment values especially for BSV, Natural account, Department.  These are available in OTBI as well.  There may be multiple account hierarchies in the system.  We would like to know if we select any of the Parent values, will the results show based on all the Chile values underneath in OTBI?

Also, how can we achieve the same in BI Publisher reports as well?
