Is it Possible to Use an Alias for the Bursting Sender Info?

Content

We engaged a vendor to write some BI Publisher reports, which use bursting to send out emails to employees.  The email address defined in the bursting SQL for the sender information is really not what we would like to show to our employees when it hits their inbox.  We like all of our Fusion emails to come from 'Anthem Human Resources' (and we had Oracle set up this alias on their side for the seeded, system-generated emails), so that it looks like a legitimate email (our employees get nervous and like to report odd-looking emails as SPAM).  But the vendor who created these bursting reports didn't know how to create an alias for the sender info.  Is there a way to do this, to assign an alias, so that instead of the sender info coming across as xxx@xxx.com, it would look like 'Anthem Human Resources'?

As far as I know we cannot mention any alias while setting up the bursting sql to change the alias of from email address.

Let's wait for reviews from reporting experts.

    Hi Rebekah,

You can ignore my earlier comment. I searched for this info on Oracle Support and looks like this feature is available from BI Publisher Version 5.6.3

Please refer to Doc ID 1112344.1

In the from email PARAMETER3, please mention the email id as "Anthem Human Resources <***@***.com>"

    Thanks,

    Sricharan

THANK YOU!!  This worked!  I made PARAMETER3 be 'Anthem Human Resources <xxx@xxx.com>' and it worked perfectly!

How do I mark the thread as complete?

There should be an option to mark the answer as correct.. so you can click that to the comment which answered your question and resolved your issue.

I don't see any option to mark the response as Correct - it seems to be due to the username i used to log the post (as I see the 'mark as correct' option for posts that I logged under my other username).  Not sure why.  But I've rated it with 5 stars.
