I do not think there is such a thing as A4 layout.

A layout is either portrait or landscape - if you print it then you tell your printer if you want A4 or A3 etc.

Anyway the simplest way is to use the online layout editor to create your layout

the 4 default templates are portrait or landscape either blank or with header/footer

in the applications common document library
