Can data model data be called out by infolets on Oracle Cloud/Fusion?

Summary
In addition to analysis data, can data model information be added to infolet on Oracle Cloud/Fusion?
Content
Hello Oracle Community,
Is there anyway to post data model data on to infolet on Oracle Cloud/Fusion?
Or would the data model data need to be converted into analysis, so that the data can be called out by infolets on Oracle Cloud/Fusion? If so, is there a way in OBIEE to convert data model data into analysis format?
Thank you.

Jonathan - when I tested this, it was moons ago, so this may not be the best/right solution ... but I did it by putting the BIP in a dashboard and then the Infolet had the link to the dashboard. It's been far too long since I've done it, so that's the best my memory can give you, but it might be a good starting point?
EDIT: for clarification, I didn't put the data model on the dashboard, I built a report that looked at the data model that I then put in the infolet.

Hi Jonathan,
Data models can't be embedded directly into an infolet.
As Prudence said, create a report and add it to the dashboard which will be available in the report catalogue.

And as a last bit: No, there is absolutely no way of transforming BIP data models into analyses.
In your 11g the only way to do it would be to have it in the RPD or as a direct DB request.
In latest OAS 5.5 you could use data flows to create an external data set that you then use but even OAS has no possibility of using DV Data Models as a data source. That would actually make an interesting idea for Product Management to ponder!

Hello again Prudence - Thanks for the tip and I will try this approach to see if it works.

Hi again Raghavan - Thanks for the affirmation and the link to the video. I had watched it previously, and noted that analysis can be called out to infolet.

Hello Christian,
Thanks for pointing out that the only viable options are RPD or direct DB request for the Oracle version that I am using.
I have posted the idea on the idea forum at the following URL:
