hi Murali,
Interesting topic - I am sure most of us have experienced this issue. I am not aware if there is any priv/roles to prevent these actions.
Thanks,
Santosh

Hi, Yes I think this can be controlled by security. A person must have a role that inherits author to move files from folder to folder. So you can revoke author privilege to only the people who need it. Let everyone else be a consumer. Only grant author to people who have the level of competence required. Drag and drop can be considered a bad practice. The alternative is to select file, select copy, select target folder, select paste. To further control what Authors can do folder by folder then for each folder you can set permissions.so a role for one group of people has only Read and Traverse like a Consumer but another group of people get Write. Hi Nathan,
Thank you for your time and explanation!
I will discuss with my team and will share the comments with them to check the feasibility to accommodate the changes to the existing security configuration.
Thank you!
Regards,
Murali
