Hello,

I am trying to create a pivot table for an asset number per row and period name and depreciation amount in columns.

I have followed this doc to create the pivot table: https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/12212/bip/BIPRD/GUID-B9C4322A-4BBF-4D28-B8F3-435E527EE5E6.htm#BIPRD2541

I am having error failed preview when I add the field <?for-each-group@cell:current-group();./PERIOD_NAME?>

Can anyone help to solve this issue ?

I have attached my rtf and xml files.

Regards

    Hi Nalinee,

You are trying to convert table to Pivot. You can directly create Pivot table in RTF template.

Use following steps: Word -> Add ins -> BI publisher -> Upload XML to RTF -> Insert -> Pivot table -> Pull rows, columns and measures.

You can select totals if required. Once the Pivot is generated you can change the formatting as required.

    Attached a sample.

    Thanks,

    Anil

    Hello Anil,

Thanks. I have tried this integrated pivot table but it does not suit my requirements.

    Hi Nalinee

Can you please try using the integrated layout option available with Oracle fusion cloud known as interactive layout having extension .xpt.

if that suffice your requirement, it would be relatively simple as compared to RTF Template.

    Hello Sahil,

Thanks. I tried and cannot use this option either since I cannot get data inline with this layout option. It is in a hierarchy like style.

    Hi Nalinee,

The previous template that I attached already showing data as per your expected data. Made formatting changes also and attached a new template. You can open the template in word, load XML and preview to test the data.

    Thanks,

    Anil
