Access denied error when user is Saving Current Customization of a Dashboard

Hi All,

we are facing a situation where when user is trying to save current customization in any dashboard the getting "access denied for user to path /users/user1/_selections/rnq1kcilb6u3eg6o" error.

The Dashboard does allows saving of personal customization and the user does have the BI Author Role assigned.

Your help will be appreciated.

    The error is stating that the user does not have write permissions to that particular folder.

    Please make sure that the security permissions are same between the main folder and sub folders. I think it should be in sync.

    Hi Noelle,

    but when a user save the dashboard customization, it saves under "My Folder" and BI Author roles does provide access to my folder.

    If it seeded the report make sure to copy it into the Custom folder before editing it. Factory contents folders are not allowed to edit.
