Add ability to re-run a report without returning to catalog

Use Case and Business Need

Currently, it is not possible to re-run a report with a new data selection without returning to the catalog. I know there is the refresh option but that only reruns the report for the previously chosen filters. Can a rerun option be added to allow for new filters to be chosen so it's not necessary to search through the catalog every time you need to change filters?

Great addition - I would also like to add the need for the ability to view your prior run jobs and what was the content of that run job - the system forces you to rerun the job, but I sometime like to see what was on that particular data pull.

Hi Randall,

This can be accomplished using a Dashboard. If you have an analysis with prompts, add it to a Dashboard and you will see a Return link after it generates. It will take you back to the prompts page.

Thanks for the suggestion. Would still be nice to have the ability to re-run a report without creating a dashboard for every report though.

I would like to see it next to the options in the attached screen shot (edit, refresh, copy). Or, it might also make sense to have it appear at the top left of the page when the results from a report pull. Either way it would just be nice to have it instead of having to return to the catalog every time or having to create a dashboard for every report.

You can actually use your browser refresh and it will allow you to re-enter your prompts from analyses.

Thanks! Wasn't aware of that. It's a convenient workaround but it would still be nice to have a rerun option as well.
