Description

There is an option of enabling "Write Back" in Column Attribute, which would potentially allow end-users write back to database.

Use Case and Business Need

Enabling “Write Back” Function in Cloud OTBI Dashboard. Which would potentially allow end-users write back to database. once they found out any input mistakes.

It could had been a very good feature for end users who only rely on dashboard on OTBI to maintain and doing their daily job and work. In the sense that the end user will input on dashboard only instead of taking so many steps and update information from UI one by one.ie.. updating Descriptive Flexfields which would take so many steps to allocate the data from UI, where you can achieve the same thing on the dashboard using "Write Back" feature to update the same attribute for different item lines.

I agree this would also be very helpful. Additionally, should Development decide against this idea, they should remove the option for Write Back. Clients will ask about it and assume it is something they can do since it is visible.

Totally! I get it that Oracle blocked the function for some reason. But I believe if clients can do stuff in BI they will not have to run through so many applications in UI. Since UI for Oracle fusion has TONS of bugs.
