  • Hi Enzo- Have you reviewed this document where BI reports can be added to a dashboard including map views.

    https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/engagement/19a/facaa/creating-and-administering-analytics.pdf

  • Hi George,

    Thanks for your info.

I tried again with the same bad luck :-(

  • Auto correct does not help :-(

  • Below the error details

    13_MapViewError.png

  • In December 2018 I asked support to enable map view, and the answer was that it is not possible to use map view with Sales Cloud.

Perhaps now it is possible, shall I ask them?

  • Hi Enzo- Please log a Support Request and we will figure out how to overcome gaps if any.

  • It seems there are no news on this issue in the last release. Below the today support answer:

No worries, This cusrrent ly does not work in OBIEE cloud
Please see these KM documents on this issue:
.. Why Map Graph Analysis throws error in BI Analysis? ( Doc ID 2141699.1 )
.. Enabling Map Viewer in OBIEE for Oracle Sales Cloud ( Doc ID 2009338.1 )

Please close the SR based on this being a known issue and it not being supported

  • Why the post title still starts with [More Information Requested] ?

  • BI infrastructure team is working on new map design. Timeline is TBD.

  • Throwing in my vote for some kind of Map View as well. With the addition of Geocoding Lat/Lon availability in BI. I have received at least four requests already in 2021 for mapping capabilities. Being able to map Accounts, Leads, Opportunities, Activities, Assets would be huge for us. Not only that, when COVID finally let's up and we can start traveling again. Having the ability for our Sales team to see these data points in relation to their own location would be useful as well. Ex: "I'm traveling to xyz customer next week, I wonder what else is going on around the area. Let me just pull up a Dashboard Map and take a look." This is something we, kind of, had with the old CX Cloud Mobile app.

Over the past couple months I have been desperately trying to get the Google Maps API integrated with a BI Dashboard using a narrative view w/ Javascript. It used to, sort of, work. But lately my efforts have failed. From what I gather, it sounds like Google may have caught on to people trying to do this and is blocking this capability with Oracle (my speculation based on incomplete evidence).
