Ability to report on Roles &Permissions associated with BIP Catalog Folders
Description
Hi All
Currently we are not able to report on the roles & permission associated with each of the BIP catalog folders. We need to manually check the permission of the folder.
Any discrepancy or issue during patch/update, it is really hard to identify the changes.
Would be good if end customers have access to relevant schema/table to extract the roles & permission of the BIP folder.

Karthik
Use Case and Business Need
Any discrepancy or issue in permission of the report folders during patch/update, it is really hard to identify the changes unless we experience the issue.
Would be good if end customers have access to relevant schema/table to extract the roles & permission of the BIP folder.

We also would like this functionality, and our business case is the same as the original post.
In our implementation we have many Custom folders and different Security use cases. we use a combination of data security and folder security. Some BIP and Analytics are accessed directly from Fusion, some via OBIEE, and some are called through SOAP for our system integrations.

As a University with large number of users, we have a high turnover and need to frequently report access & permissions. This is definitely useful during Audits.

This would be great if Oracle would provide this functionality. Audit ability is very important to any institution

It depends on the number of unique votes (i.e. votes from different companies).

We need to maintain a config workbook of all BI catalog folder permissions and need an automated way to do this instead of manual screen scraping. Its a hugely laborious task and prone to human error.
