Since the OTBI strictly follows all security profile setting of roles to show the data in reports of all subject area.

This is causing issue in Learn module to show Instructor details to learners in any OTBI report and similar way to Instructors to show the list of learners for the activities.

Organization cannot set the security profile setting for Person details to View All Records instead of View Own record due to data compliance issues.

Impact of setting View All Records value to Person security profile - All person/employee data will be visible to logged in user for the other modules like finance, compensation etc where data is very restricted.

Idea:

1. The security profile setting for Person details field for role, which is either View all Records, view own Record, View management hierarchy should be set on subject area level.

   This will help the organization to take a decision which value to be set for this field based on the requirement without disturbing

   settings of other modules and data visibility.

2. On Report level while setting permissions there should be option like override the data security profile values and show the required data.

Use Case and Business Need

To show the Learners about upcoming trainings planned and instructor details who are going to conduct those trainings.

To show Instructors about the learner details for their trainings in OTBI.
