Very difficult working with that tiny window for SQL queries in data models

Use Case and Business Need

Hi, as per title, could we please make the 'edit data set' window that appears when creating data models a resizable one? I usually have to copy the SQL to another editor and edit it there. The query builder button doesn't work for custom SQL. Thanks, Alex.

    Agree with you Alex, also:

    1. why is there no Syntax highlighting?

    2. why do we have to click several times to see the result of the changes we made in the SQL? It would be very efficient to have some preview button to see the results of the edit without having to close the Edit Data Set. For every change we make we now have to:

    Click OK to leave Edit Data Set

    Click Data

    Change rows to 200

    Click View

    Click Table View

    I can do these 5 steps in my database tool with one keystroke.

    3. The Error handling should indicate the line number and position of the error and/or set the cursor to that position

    This is much needed. Oracle has to improve BI data set query window or come up with some better tool. For developer it is frustrating just to query 'select * from <table>, we have to do 5 steps for that.

    Few organizations have built up there own tool and uses internally. It would be great if Oracle comes up with something and make it available for community, it makes developers life easy.
