Hello Everyone,

I am trying to download a report in .pdf format but the filename is "xdo" and then downloaded as loading.html. Attached is a screenshot, but this happens only in the chrome browser and not in Firefox? But the problem does not happen with any other pdf i download.

Thank you,

Ulises Gutierrez

Are you using pre-view mode?  If so turn this off using

Chrome => Settings => Content settings => PDF documents => Enable 'Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome'

Thank you Richard but now the PDF is not viewable and displays a dark screen with Xdo?

What are you viewing it with?  What error do you get.  I cannot read the SNAG files you keep referencing.  Have you tried renaming the file to .pdf so Adobe knows what it is?

As I understand it from this support note, it is an issue with the Chrome PDF plugin and therefore not possible.

    Hi,

I am also getting this error and not able to download file in PDF (Instead of download/save it in PDF format it opens a window and allow it to save in HTML format).

And When we tried this setting (Chrome => Settings => Content settings => PDF documents => Enable 'Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome') then my report is not opened and showing error message like "This content is blocked. Contact the site owner to fix the issue."

    Thanks,

    Mohit Maheshwari

Hi @GoSaaS , You might be unable to download Publisher reports as PDF in Chrome browsers due to the way that the PDF plug-in handles embedded content in iframes, refer below documentation for the same -
