No output generated in bursting but status is Success in BI Publisher

Hello

I created a report with bursting and it turns out that when creating a report, I don't always have data, and logically an empty report is created, but BI bursting does not create an empty file and simply says "No output avaible". How can this problem be solved, I need even if there is no data, then an empty letter or a message that there is no data was sent. It is sent via email. Thanks for the help!

Hi @User_M9N9X ,

You can also try adding a schedule trigger with your query. If the query in the trigger returns a record, it will make it true for execution and else the bursting job would be skipped.

Yes this is an default product behavior. Better to create an dummy record when there was no data as per query To generate an empty report.

Hi @User_M9N9X ,

I think that option is currently not there in the environment. The trigger works on executing a query based logic.

if data found file would be generated, if not then the run will end in Skipped status. Since that is the case, i think it would not be needing a no data message for the user.

Сan you use a trigger to capture the moment when the script has worked and add something of your own, for example, sending an empty file?

I have not used it that way. Our requirement was not to mark job as error when there is no data.

But these Schedule Trigger doesn't work when you have an ESS Job. The report has to be scheduled from BIP only to get the trigger working.

@Mallikarjuna Kuppauru-Oracle I have added a dummy row for this. How can we send a customised email to the users when that dummy row is returned through Bursting along with sending file to a ftp location when data is found?
