issue while accessing the report from 3rd party application which is integrated with OBI 12.2.1.4

hi, while we access the report from our business application we get the page loaded and prompting for credentials, on entering the weblogic console id pass, once we give credentials reports open.

need assistance in this matter if any one can help to fix this issue.

Hi, opening of the report should not prompt for login credentials, this behavior is happening only in 12.2.1.4 version of BI

Do you have SSO setup in your OBIEE 12.2.1.4?

If not, being prompted for credentials is the expected behavior.

Hi Gianni,

SSO is by default enabled in OBI version 12.2.1.4, and this is the main cause of the issue for which report url prompts for login credentials.

in older version of OBI i.e. 12.2.1.3 SSO is not enabled by default and it allows to create the guest user which help to call the report url without prompting for the credentials.

I mean real SSO, I don't talk about the lightweight SSO that is in OBIEE to allow to switch from DV to "classic" without being prompted for a login.

If you were embedding content by using an iframe and calling the URL passing the username/password in the url (nqUser and nqPassword), that's not really how embedding is supposed to be done.

Did you look the official documentation? They cover the topic of embedding with the available alternatives.

Hi Gianni,

i am not fully aware of the OBI as i am getting used it now, so need details on how to over come this issue.

like have mentioned, we are using business application from where the report button is clicked and it will open the separate window of report url, this is when it prompts for credentials.

as per the oracle documents we have to create the webservices but not getting this clearly as to how and what webservices and how can i integrate this with our application.

It may be helpful if you state what you are trying to achieve and how you are trying to achieve it. A detailed explanation with screenshots, code snippets etc.

No forum user sits in front of your solution and sees your screen. Only you do. Without pertinent information we can't know what's happening where, why, how - and hence can't provide any usable help.

As a rule of thumb: spend at least as much time when writing your question than you expect others to think about and answer your question.
