Hi,
We are looking for assistance to understand the importance of Autonomous data warehouse with regards to OAC.
What benefit or feature it adds to the analytic tool OAC.
Regards
Ashraf Bilal
OAC and ADW are both cloud-based platforms that incorporate advanced artificial intelligence and natural learning capabilities. They offer robust capabilities for data analysis and visualization.
OAC leverages ADW to empower users with data visualizations, semantic analysis, and predictive analytics. This integration enables enterprises to effectively identify key performance indicators (KPIs), manage data integration, and plan their data and analytics strategy for the future.
A modern data warehouse, such as ADW, operates autonomously, ensuring security and significantly reducing administration costs. This automation also reduces administration workload, enabling business units to operate independently without extensive reliance on support.
The integration between OAC and ADW is seamless, allowing users to load data into ADW directly from OAC without requiring expertise as a database administrator or coding skills.
OAC is designed for natural and intuitive interactions, enhancing user experience. Both OAC and ADW represent significant advancements in optimizing data analytics. Self-service Cloud Analytics provided by OAC and ADW address business needs effectively, as data-driven analytics offer deeper insights into organizational operations and individual business units. Analytics also promote accountability, transparency, strategic decision-making, continuous improvement, and increased productivity.
They fulfill the demand for cloud-based analytics and data warehousing, providing flexible, self-service tools that boost the productivity of developers, analysts, and data scientists.
ADW boasts an autonomous warehousing environment, ensuring rapid query performance. Meanwhile, OAC offers scalability and security, equipped with a comprehensive suite of features to facilitate collaborative analytics across individuals, business units, and enterprises. Additionally, users benefit from flexible service options.

The integration between OAC and ADW is seamless, enabling you to effortlessly load data into ADW through OAC without requiring expertise as a DBA or coding skills.
ADW provides an autonomous warehousing environment, ensuring swift query performance. Meanwhile, OAC offers scalability and robust security alongside a comprehensive suite of features for collaborative analytics, catering to your needs, your business unit, and your enterprise.
Additionally, you benefit from flexible service management features, including rapid setup, simple scaling and patching, and automated lifecycle management.
Also, with ADW you can use OAC features like Data replications to load data from Fusion source.
The update was informative but I have one simple question.
OAC will be using ADW or ADW is going to use OAC.
At one place you are saying ADW would facilitate non experts, performance and reducing the administration cost and other place you say data would by pulled into ADW directly by OAC.
These statements are confusing hope you understand my concern.
@Ashraf Bilal.R - OAC will be using ADW. OAC is the analytical tool and ADW would be it's source for data.
@Ashraf Bilal.R - Hope we helped answer your queries, if there are no more concerns please do accept the answer provided, so that it helps other users having similar concerns. Thanks.
So how will the ADW would have data for OAC to use
@Ashraf Bilal.R - If you're utilizing FAW/FDI, ADW retrieves data from source Fusion Applications via a pipeline. Alternatively, for other source applications, ADW acquires data through ETL tools or processes, particularly if it's designated as the target warehouse.
Is there OIC in picture anywhere around
No @Ashraf Bilal.R . Please refer the below document for more details on OIC. https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/integration-cloud/int-get-started/get-familiar-home-page.html
You can also Create a Connection to Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse directly : https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/analytics-cloud/tutorial-create-connection-to-oawd/#before_you_begin
Hi, I'm new to OTBI & FDI and need your help. Is it possible to do a report to identify missing default expense account in FDI or OTBI? Thanks for your help.
Hi Team We are using SCM- Maintenance subject areas for reporting . We enabled the Asset related DFFs (CSE_ASSETS_B) under Data Configuration successfully but the Asset DFFs are not reflecting under Descriptive Flexfield Folder . We do not see any Asset folder even under the Descriptive Flexfield folder . Please advise if…
We made some changes in the Fusion UI, and those changes were reflected correctly in OTBI but not in FDI. To refresh the data in FDI, the Oracle support team advised me to reload the relevant functional area (Absence Management). I navigated to Application Administration → Human Capital Management, selected Absence…
Data are synchronized with Oracle HCM and I can see PN 2470, which was terminated in the past. If I add any assignment information I find no records, why?
In an analysis/report, when the Bottom Up Manager details are selected from the hierarchy, the Top Position Person record drops out. This is due to the fact that this top level position does not have a record in the Fusion table : PER_MANAGER_HRCHY_CF which is the source to load OAX$OAC.DW_MANAGER_CF_DH . The requirement…
