I noticed that the Security Assignment subject area only shows assignments for FIN and SCM
Are HCM assignments handled differently? The current project includes HCM but none of the HCM Security Contexts in HCM shows Data.

Seems like its an HCM Application End limitation, Can you log an ER request ( Idea's Lab request) ? I will loop an Dev team on your Idea for the further review.

Using the Security Assignment subject area, you can create reports about the current security assignments. These reports enable you to track the security contexts and the users who have access to the security contexts.
Business Questions
This subject area can answer the following business questions:
What is the total number of security contexts?
What is the number of users by security context?
Which user is assigned to which security context and when was the assignment done?
No, I am able to see the data , i just checked in my local instance.

Same as Arjun, I am also able to see the HCM security assignments in our pod.
Thanks Arjun and Orange, Were this Assignments granted directly to users in the HCM Fusion application in the same way FIN, SCM assignments are done?
(e.g. a user gets assigned specific ledgers, AP business units in FIN and then they flow into FDI, are HCM assignments done the same way?)

We added these security assignments manually in FDI. Security tile > security assignments tab.

Another way to do this would be to use the FDI Console→Uploads feature where you can download the sample file for Data Security Assignment and then, add the below details
USERNAME, SEC_OBJ_CODE,, SEC_OBJ_MEMBER_VAL and SEC_OBJ_MEMBER_NAME.

Thanks, We are using the Security Pipeline for FIN, SCM and HCM.
But the HCM told us that business units, legal employers, etc. are not directly assigned to users in HCM like they do in the other modules.
I have reviewed the HCM documentation and found the below -

Note: You must ensure that the job role doesn't have directly assigned security profiles. Search for the job role on the Manage Data Roles and Security Profiles page. In the search results, confirm that no check mark appears in the Security Profiles Assigned column. If security profiles are assigned to the job role, then you must revoke them before including the job role in an HCM data role. You can reassign the security profiles to the job role after creating the HCM data role.
From FDI side, we can do the manual assignment or use the upload functionality.
