Is it possible to secure custom datasets depending on groups?

For this purpose we are wanting to have a certain group in FAW have author privileges but want limited access to the data they can see with HCM data. We are aware you can create custom datasets that limit the data that comes from a subject area, but is it possible to secure the custom subject area like the application roles we assign for a group to a specific subject area? Would love to hear other thoughts on this matter!

    Hello Cade. I'm not sure I understand the question.
    Have you looked at securing subjects area via the Administration function in Classic Home? In this example, I don't have a custom subject area available, but you can see that you can limit subject areas with prebuilt and custom roles.
