Hi,

In FDI View all role doesn't supersedes the line manager role so to achieve this we are implementing custom data level security.

I believe in FDI we have Functional Group concept to control how multiple data filters will be applied.

Can we use OOTB functional group to setup custom data security as in one of oracle document I read that OOTB functional group can't be used for custom data security if no then how can we create custom functional group

@User_Y8TLB , LM_HR is a custom functional group only. You can type in into the Functional Group field - the name of the functional group.

For least restrictive access between 2 data roles functional group names should be the same.

Thank you , have followed this document only, in this document functional group LM_HR is selected not sure if it's custom functional group or OOTB as on my instance I can't see LM_HR functional group.

Also in one of the oracle document it's mentioned that you can't use OOTB functional group while implementing Custom data security

@User_Y8TLB - In the blog - LM_HR functional group is not an OOTB functional group meaning this group is not used in OOTB Line Manager data security.

2 OOTB data roles like HCM View All Data Role & Line Manager data role - will grant most restrictive data access.

Based on the explanation above , I understand you want to Least Restrictive access ( HCM View All Data Role ) to take precedence.

Thanks for the reply, I have referred this blog only. my question is related to functional group that we select while creating filter condition. I could not find LM_HR functional group that is being written in the blog .

Can we create Custom functional group if yes then where? if not then on what basis do we select functional group as I can see many in my instance i.e. hcm_fact_all,hcm_fact_lm etc.
