FDI: Why did the team elect to hide level 5 and greater hierarchys from the reporting layer?

In this file starting 24.R2 the team notified that presentation layer will hide anything greater than 5 layers, if a client wants to see a P/L for all levels for a specific department in a hiearchy view like EDM and natural roll up with dollars, given this latest roll out how does one find the hierarchy in order to create a report utilizing that roll up? Most clients have more than 5 rows. Please advise if I am missing a different way of completing this requirement.
