Want to customise Standard Oracle SalesOrder Report by adding new columns

I want to add few new columns in salesorder standard Oracle Report ,but unfortunately standard XML attached in the datamodel does not have the tags that I require , Is there any way I can add the the required fields as tags in the xml ?
